Gregory Earls has directed music videos for Poetic Groove/Interscope Records, and his short films, “Sax’s Final Orbit” and “Life Drawing” enjoyed exciting film festival runs and garnered Earls numerous awards.
His novel, “Empire of Light,” is an Urban Fiction novel about a black cinematography student’s action-packed European trek to study the genius of the Italian painter Caravaggio.
Greg is a graduate of Norfolk State University, one of the nation's HBCUs, and the American Film Institute where he was a Cinematography Fellow.
Currently a Sr. Manager with Walt Disney Studios, Earls has managed post-production on numerous 20th Century Studios feature films including: War for the Planet of the Apes, Deadpool 2, and Ford v Ferrari.
A Cleveland, Ohio native, during football season Greg can be found at his favorite Browns bar, the St. Felix, where he roots for the greatest professional football team in all of North East, Ohio.
Steadfastly butchering the Italian language for the last decade, he hopes to master it someday, just enough to tell his in-laws of how much he loves his wife Stefania, who was born and raised in Milan, Italy.
